Ore Factory Squad Save File Location and Backup Guide

Windows save location

SteamDB lists the game’s cloud-managed Windows files under:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\threeW\Ore Factory Squad\

Paste that path into File Explorer’s address bar. %USERPROFILE% expands to your Windows account folder, and AppData may be hidden in normal folder views.

Make a manual backup

1. Exit Ore Factory Squad completely.
2. Wait for Steam to finish synchronization.
3. Open the folder above.
4. Copy the entire Ore Factory Squad folder to a separate backup location.
5. Name the copy with the date and a short note, such as 2026-07-27-before-layout-change.

Copying the whole folder is safer than guessing which individual file belongs to a particular save slot.

Restore carefully

Close the game and Steam before replacing files. First copy the current folder somewhere safe, then place the chosen backup in the original location. Start Steam and read any cloud-conflict prompt carefully; select the copy with the timestamp and progress you intend to keep.

Steam Cloud is not a version archive

The Steam store lists Steam Cloud support, which helps synchronize files between computers. A mistaken deletion or unwanted save can also synchronize. Keep manual dated copies before major factory rebuilds, troubleshooting, or third-party modifications.
